Hydraulic Guillotine Shear
Shearing is the most well-established industrial technique for cold cutting steel. Large-scale production is increasingly shifting towards more flexible technologies such as fiber laser cutting and plasma cutting, but the shear remains the fastest and most economical way to cut sheet metal. It is the ideal complementary machine for any industrial sector. With suitable blades and appropriate machine design, cutting thicknesses of up to 50 mm can also be achieved.
Warcom hydraulic shears stand out for their robust construction and their ability to ensure maximum cutting precision and repeatability. All machining operations are carried out in-house using state-of-the-art boring mills. Each shear can be sized and equipped with a wide range of accessories according to the specific requirements of the customer.
The MAXIMA range includes sheet metal cutting shears developed to meet the different needs of heavy metal fabrication, from everyday processing to the most demanding applications. Robustness, precision, and configurability characterize machines designed and built by Warcom to ensure reliability and continuous production.
Hydraulic Guillotine Shear
What is shearing?
Shearing is a cold cutting technique for sheet metal in which two blades, one fixed and one movable, separate the material through a shearing action, without applying heat. It does not generate heat-affected zones and is particularly advantageous for fast and economical straight cuts.
What thicknesses can MAXIMA cut?
MAXIMA can be configured to process nominal thicknesses from 4 to 26 mm, depending on the machine configuration and material. With specific blades and dedicated machine sizing, thicker materials can also be processed by designing the machine according to the specific processing requirements.
What are the hydraulic adjustments for the cutting angle and blade gap used for?
The cutting angle and blade gap adjustments affect cutting quality, workpiece deformation, and blade wear. On MAXIMA, both are hydraulically adjustable via a selector according to the material and thickness, allowing operators to switch quickly between different jobs without shims or tools.
Are MAXIMA guillotine shears CNC-controlled?
As standard, MAXIMA is equipped with a single-axis controller for managing the rear back gauge, with a simple and intuitive interface. On request, CNC controls with up to four axes and a touchscreen are available, particularly for shears integrated into automated production lines.
